Electric vans can have lower energy and servicing costs than comparable diesel vehicles⁺, although the overall result depends on energy costs, annual kilometres, vehicle usage, maintenance and finance arrangements. An electric van can be substantially cheaper to run than a diesel van⁺, particularly if you can charge at your depot or home.

The SV has lower running and maintenance costs, with no oil changes or diesel-system servicing requirements, so it can offer a substantially lower operating cost than a comparable diesel van⁺. The overall five-year cost ultimately depends on resale value, insurance, usage and finance arrangements.
